HDPE (High density polyethylene)

Polyethylene is a polymer of ethene, an organic chemical compound that is one of the basic raw materials of the petrochemical industry. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is obtained by low-pressure polymerization and is a milky white material.

The properties of HDPE include the following:

  • it is harder than LDPE,
  • it has high mechanical strength,
  • it has high chemical resistance,
  • its water absorption is low,
  • it is of milky white color,
  • due to its physiological neutrality it may come into contact with food,
  • it is highly durable.
